Theorem’s latest NX to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Multi-CAD supports R2016x

We are pleased to announce the release of V19.3, the latest version of our NX to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Multi-CAD product that supports CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE R2016x, and includes general updates to improve geometry quality.

V19.3 supports CATIA V6-6R2013x, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE R2014x, R2015x and R2016x, as well as NX 8.5, 9.0 and 10.0, providing the user with the highest levels of interoperability. This uni-directional product can be packaged with Theorem’s CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Multi-CAD to NX to create a bi-directional product.

Based upon Dassault Systemes strategic XCAD technology, our Multi-CAD enables the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE user to interactively work with native NX parts and assemblies in an active CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE session. This is achieved by simply selecting the NX part or assembly to be imported into CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE allowing the user to work with the NX data to perform Design Modification, Design-in Context and Manufacturing activities.

Multi-CAD products support the introduction of assembly structure, geometry and Functional Tolerancing and Annotations (FTA) together with system defined attribute information and colour information from NX data with additional support for the processing of Model Based Definition (MBD) information from native CAD.

The Multi-CAD application is an easy to use and efficient solution to the problems that can be encountered when a CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE user needs to work with NX data regularly during a design project.

Theorem’s Creo to CATIA V5 Multi-CAD product makes the most of your installed CATIA V5 licenses

We are pleased to announce the release of V19.3, the latest version of our Creo to CATIA V5 Multi-CAD product.

Integrated within the CATIA V5 application, V19.3 supports from CATIA V5-6R2013 up to and including CATIA V5-6R2016, as well as Creo 2.0 and 3.0, providing the user with the highest levels of interoperability. This uni-directional product can be packaged with Theorem’s CATIA V5 Multi-CAD to Creo product, creating a bi-directional translator.

Multi-CAD products support the introduction of assembly structure, geometry, attributes, FTA and Metadata from Creo data with additional support for the processing of Model Based Definition (MBD) information from Creo.

Our Creo to CATIA V5 Multi-CAD product is based upon the Dassault Systemes XCAD infrastructure, allowing CATIA V5 users to incorporate parts and assemblies from Creo, directly within the CATIA environment and removing the need for external translators, providing a ‘design in context’ experience. It does so by pulling the files directly into CATIA and using the existing CATIA V5 commands of “Insert existing component”, “file open” and “file save as”.

With Multi-CAD, CATIA V5 users are able to select a part or assembly designed in Creo, and insert it as a node on their CATIA V5 design tree; either as a single component or full assembly.

The application checks geometry for errors and validates the integrity of the data as it comes into CATIA. Creo files are completely associative which lets the CATIA user to automatically update their CATIA design with changes authored in Creo. Multi-CAD then tracks changes and updates the master model as each sub-assembly is developed. The beauty of the solution is the interlinking of the CATIA data and Creo data.

Theorem’s latest Visualize 3D product for CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE users supports R2016x

We are pleased to announce the release of the latest CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE to JT translator, from our Visualize 3D product range, with a number of new product features and enhancements, alongside general updates to improve geometry quality.

V19.3 supports CATIA V6R2013x, 3DEXPERIENCE R2014x, R2015x and R2016x and Jtk. 8.0. This uni-directional product can be licensed with Theorem’s JT to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Visualize 3D product to create a bi-directional translator.

Our Visualize 3D products are aimed at creating visualization data for users of digital mock-up, virtual reality or desktop applications.

Based upon the Dassault Systemes strategic XCAD technology, this latest V19.3 product enables the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE user to create a JT representation of their data, and supports the translation of assembly structure, geometry, attributes, 3D Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) and metadata. In doing so facilitates Model Based Definition (MBD) processes containing sufficient information to manufacture and inspect products without the need for 2D engineering drawings.

Sharing CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE data using the neutral ISO standard JT format allows organisations to protect the intellectual property of their designs, while users can explore the shape more easily to understand the 3D definition. The IP protection is enhanced by restricting the JT representation to be tessellated data only.

Whilst visualization formats like JT help to secure Intellectual Property, at the same time they support a rich enough set of design data intelligence so that suppliers have all of the information required to complete their job.
