Make the most of installed CATIA licenses when working with NX

We are pleased to announce the latest release of CADverter V20.3 for CATIA V5i to NX.

Our CATIA V5i-NX is a uni-directional direct database converter between the Dassault Systemes’ V5 and Siemens’ NX modelling applications. It can be packaged with our NX-CATIA V5i to create a bi-directional product. It has been developed using the Spatial (Dassault) Interop Development Environment and supports all CATIA V5 revisions from V5 R15 to V5-6R2017, and NX 9, 10 and 11.

In this latest version, the new Theorem Unified Interface (UI) is supported for both interactive and batch processing. There are also interactive import/export menus in NX that are available for users.

Designed for companies who have limited or no access to the CATIA V5 application, but who need to create or read NX data, the CATIA V5i -NX CADverter is a high quality, cost effective translation solution designed to help solve the issue of working with and sharing incompatible data formats.

NX users who also have to work with data supplied in the CATIA format from customers and suppliers commonly find that they require access to a license of CATIA in order to translate the data in to NX. Using the CADverter, users can create NX data without needing access to a license of the CATIA V5 application.

Our CATIA V5i-NX solution helps to increase the productivity of the CATIA user by saving time and freeing up CAD licenses. It supports collaboration between OEM’s and their customers and suppliers, enabling original 3D mechanical design data to be re-used in downstream activities helping to increase data quality and reduce overall project costs.

Theorem’s latest Multi-CAD supports CATIA V5 R27 and NX 11

Our V20.2 CATIA V5 Multi-CAD to NX product is ready for release with a number of new product features and enhancements alongside general updates to improve stability and geometry quality.

Integrated within the CATIA V5 application, V20.2 supports from CATIA V5-6R2014 to CATIA V5-6R2017, as well as NX 9, 10 and 11, providing the user with the highest levels of interoperability with NX file assemblies.

This CATIA V5 Multi-CAD to NX product can be packaged as a uni-directional product CATIA V5>NX or NX>CATIA V5 or as a bi-directional translator.

Our CATIA V5 Multi-CAD to NX Product is based upon the Dassault Systemes XCAD infrastructure, allowing CATIA V5 users to incorporate parts and assemblies from NX, directly within the CATIA environment and removing the need for external translators. The application checks geometry for errors and validates the integrity of the data as it comes into CATIA. The beauty of the Dassault Multi-CAD architecture is the interlinking of the CATIA data and non-native data.

In V20.2 the Theorem User Interface is supported for both interactive and batch processing of translations external to the CATIA V5 application.

Using Multi-CAD offers a greater level of security and protection as the link to the source data is a direct link, without the need to leave the application or use 3rd party external applications. This also removes any errors that can occur from working with potentially old and out of date data.

Theorem’s latest Visualize 3D CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE-JT product supports R27

We are pleased to announce the release of the latest CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE to JT translator from our Visualize 3D product range, with a number of new product features and enhancements, alongside general updates to improve geometry quality.

V20.2 supports CATIA V6R2013x, 3DEXPERIENCE R2015x, R2016x and R2017x, along with Jtk. 10.0 This uni-directional product can be licensed with Theorem’s JT to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Visualize 3D product to create a bi-directional product.

Our Visualize 3D products are aimed at creating visualization data for users of digital mock-up, virtual reality, and or desktop applications, as well as data exchange.

Based upon the Dassault Systemes strategic XCAD technology, V20.2 enables the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE user to create a JT representation of their data, and supports the translation of assembly structure, geometry, attributes, 3D Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) and metadata. In doing so it facilitates Model Based Definition (MBD) processes containing sufficient information to manufacture and inspect products without the need for 2D engineering drawings.

Sharing CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE data using the neutral ISO standard JT format allows organisations to protect the intellectual property of their designs, while users can explore the shape more easily to understand the 3D definition. The IP protection can be is enhanced by restricting the JT representation to be tessellated data only.

Whilst visualization formats like JT help to secure Intellectual Property, at the same time they support a rich enough set of design data intelligence so that suppliers have all of the information required to complete their job.
