Make the most of your installed CATIA licenses when working with JT data

We are pleased to announce the latest release V20.3 of our CATIA V5i to JT visualization solution – part of the Visualize 3D product suite.

Our CATIA V5i- JT is a uni-directional direct database converter between the Dassault Systemes’ V5 modelling application and the JT file format used by the Siemens VisMockUp visualization product. It can be packaged with our JT-CATIA V5i to create a bi-directional product. It enables users to convert all forms of 3Dimensional mechanical design geometry and assembly data, together with system defined attribute and colour information, between the CATIA V5 and JT systems.

It has been developed using the Spatial (Dassault Systemes) Interop Development Environment and supports all CATIA V5 revisions from V5 R15 to V5-6R2017, as well as all versions of JT. The new Theorem UI is supported for both interactive and batch processing

Our CATIA V5i-JT visualization solution allows CATIA users to continue working whilst reading or writing JT data without needing access to their CATIA V5 licenses.

Licenses of vendor specific CAD applications are expensive resources to purchase and to maintain. It doesn’t help when they are tied up for long periods of time on more design activities or when there aren’t enough available licenses to be able to multi-task different design projects.

Our CATIA V5i-JT solution helps to increase the productivity of CATIA users by saving time whilst at the same time freeing up expense CAD licenses.

Theorem’s latest Creo to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Multi-CAD supports R2017x

We are pleased to announce the release of V20.3, the latest version our Creo-CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Multi-CAD product.

V20.3 supports CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE R2015x, R2016x and R2017x, as well as Creo 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0, providing the user with the highest levels of interoperability. This uni-directional product can be packaged with our CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Multi-CAD to Creo product, creating a bi-directional translator.

Based upon the Dassault Systemes strategic XCAD technology, our Multi-CAD enables the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE user to interactively work with native Creo parts and assemblies in an interactive CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE session. This is achieved by simply selecting the Creo part or assembly to be imported into CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE allowing the user to work with the Creo data to perform Design Modification, Design-in-Context and Manufacturing activities.

Multi-CAD products support the introduction of assembly structure, geometry and Functional Tolerancing and Annotation (FTA) together with system defined attribute information and colour information from Creo data with additional support for the processing of Model Based Definition (MBD) information from native CAD. In V20.3 the FTA is supported for both Creo to CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Multi-CAD, and CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE Multi-CAD to Creo directions.

The Multi-CAD application is an easy to use and efficient solution to the problems that can be encountered when a CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE user needs to work with Creo data regularly during a design project.

Start your Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality journey with Theorem at UKIEF 2018

We will be exhibiting at the UK Intelligent Engineering Forum on 25th April 2018.

Held at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre (AMTC) in Coventry, UKIEF is an opportunity for us to showcase our Digital Realities product portfolio to some of the UK’s leading engineering organisations.

We have recently released our Visualization Experience app to utilize CAD and PLM data assets in Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality.

We currently provide experiences for:

Theorem’s latest Visualize 3D Creo-JT product supports Creo 4.0 and JT 10.0

We are pleased to announce the latest release of our Creo to JT product, part of the Visualize 3D product suite.

V20.3 supports Creo 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 along with JT 10.0, and includes general improvements to read and write functions.

Additional features and enhancements in V20.3 include support for assembly occurrences and the reading of PMI attributes.

Our Visualize 3D products are aimed at creating visualization data for users of digital mock-up, virtual reality or desktop applications.

This uni-directional product can be licensed with our JT to Creo converter to create a bi-directional product.

Using JT with additional 3D PMI data as part of a Model Based Definition process allows the user to reduce the overall design costs associated with the creation of conventional 2D drawings.

Sharing Creo data using the neutral ISO standard JT format allows organisations to protect the intellectual property of their designs while allowing users to explore the shape, and more easily understand the 3D definition. The IP protection can be enhanced by restricting the JT representation to be tessellated data only.

Enabling Creo users to create high quality JT files enables them to share JT data with their customers and suppliers, facilitating collaboration.

Creo and JT data can now be further utilised in Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality using Theorem’s Visualization Experiences App for Digital Realities.
